This ring was such an exciting find! When I came across it, I wasn’t certain on the stone but it was too beautiful to leave behind. As with all my pieces, I took it to my gemologist, who happily confirmed it is an aquamarine. Aquamarines are a form of beryl. The beryl family includes a number of stones, including emeralds.
It’s a lovely, vibrant blue that reminds me of my favourite beach at North Stradbroke Island. I imagine wearing it on warm summer days with a crisp white linen and straw bag.
The solid 9 karat gold setting is distinctive and fun, just like the lovely aquamarine set in it.
