Oval cut sapphire set between three diamonds on each side in solid 9 karat gold.

I haven't come across a sapphire quite like this one before. It is navy blue with visible striations in the gemstone.  These inclusions are called needles and are commonly found in sapphires. The stone is translucent, showing off a lighter blue when it catches the sunshine.
