Dora Ring

This ring is a mix of natural and created gems that spell 'DEAREST' with a Diamond, Emerald, Amethyst, Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Topaz. Set in solid 9 karat gold.

Acrostic jewellery spells out a word using the first letter of each gemstone. It was created so the giver of the piece could relay a loving sentiment or signify an important occasion. 'Dearest' and 'Regard' were popular phrases. It first became popular in the French court in the 18th century and was apparently invented by a jeweller named Jean-Baptise Mellerio, who was a favourite of Marie Antoinette.

This piece looks so sweet as a pinky ring or paired with a chunkier gold band.
