This is the first trinity ring I have sourced, also called a Russian wedding ring. I was excited to find it. It is comprised of three interlinked yellow gold bands made of solid 9k gold. The piece weighs over 7 grams in total. This weight is what ultimately attracted me to pick it - it's weighty enough that each band feels substantial (not flimsy).
Traditionally, the trinity ring is associated with Christianity. The three bands symbolise the Holy Trinity: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. What sets this piece apart from traditional trinity rings is that all three bands are yellow gold, while a Russian wedding band typically has one yellow, one white and one rose gold band.
